TCH Course admission details

No person shall be eligible for admission to the D.Ed. Course, unless he/she is a citizen of India. He/she should have passed the second year pre-university course with Arts or Science Combinations or with any other course equivalent to the pre-university examination. Students with Commerce combinations are eligible provided they have studied any two school subjects.



Candidates who have passed the secondary/pre-university vocational education course/ diploma or any other job-oriented course shall not be eligible for admission to the D.Ed. Course.



The minimum pass for the purpose of eligibility shall be 50% of marks in the Pre-university or equivalent examination.

In the case of candidates, belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes the minimum pass will be 45%. In the case of Category-I and other backward classes, eligibility will be as specified in the relevant orders issued by the state government from time to time.

The assessment for Edn.10 and Edn.11 to be entered as Grades for each of the component Subject.



Grades : A: Excellent; B: Good; C: Satisfactory; D: Below Average; E:Poor





INTERNSHIP IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS



On completion of the D.Ed. Course, the pre-service teacher shall be interned government/recognised elementary school for a period of six months or till the end of the academic year.





CO-ORDINATION BOARD



There will be a Co-ordination Board for the purpose of moderating the internal assessment marks of the teacher training institutes both of the First year and the Second year. The composition of the Co-ordination Board will be a Chairperson and three members. he Principal of a DIET will be the Chairperson and Three Principals of the teacher training institutes of the Zone, in rotation on the basis of seniority will be members.

ATTENDANCE

No candidate is eligible to appear for the External Examination unless he/she has put in 80% attendance of the total working days of the academic year.
