How to Get into Nursing ?

Diploma in General Nursing & Midwifery – 3yrs

Elig : Pass in +12 with physics, Biology, chemistry.

Arts & Commerce Students can also take up.

BSc.in General Nursing & Midwifery – 4yrs.

How & When to apply ?

All Nursing schools / colleges have their seats for Govt. & Management Quota. To get a Govt seat, the candidate should apply to the Directorate of Medical Education or the Health University which will conduct the seat selection process. Job Prospects:


(a) Good Employment in Private Hospitals, Clinics & Nursing Homes.

(b) Opportunity to work with NGO’, Old age homes, Special schools.
